Sunday, July 21, 2024 –Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party chairman John Mbadi has accused Governor James Orengo and former President Uhuru Kenyatta of distabilsing the country.
Addressing in Luo Nyanza today Sunday July 21, a visibly angry Mbadi noted that those who are against the ODM-UDA dialogue are enemies of the country and who don’t want peace and development to prevail.
He accused Governor James Orengo of siding with Uhuru and Kalonzo Musyoka both who have, in the past, demonstrated their incompetence in running high octane politics that can help grab power from adversaries.
“Myself I am still not yet convinced that Kalonzo Musyoka can take us somewhere. Same to former President Uhuru Kenyatta who failed Azimio by handing over power to William Ruto when Raila was his closest friend,” Mbadi stated.
The ODM Party chair added that Uhuru betrayed Raila and wasted supporters’ time by pretending to campaign for Azimio only to hand over power to their competitor the eleventh hour.
“I want to differ with my senior James Orengo. I am doing that as an authority in Luo Land and ODM Party top official because I am the chairman of the largest political party in this country.
“Orengo is getting it wrong by teaming up with Kalonzo with Uhuru. If Uhuru was serious with us, today, I would be a cabinet secretary in Raila’s government,” added Mr. Mbadi.
Days ago, Siaya Governor James Orengo warned the opposition against rushing to join hands with the William Ruto-led government.
Orengo argued that the current government has committed major atrocities to its own people; what must first be addressed and a solution that includes compensation announced.
He also charged that he would rather lose his job as Siaya governor than working with the government of William Ruto.
