Sunday, September 8, 2024 –Another fire has razed down a dormitory at Njia Boys Secondary School in Igembe, Meru County.
In a video obtained by Kenyawide.com news desk today Sunday September 8 evening, there is seen a raging fire ablaze on Jamhuri dormitory in the institution as firefighters struggle to contain it.
To help control the escalating situation, police officers can be seen at the scene busy guiding the firefighters, most of whom were well-wishers armed with containers of water to help in the whole delicate exercise.
Sources at the scene confirmed that, after getting tipped, emergency services rapidly responded and were working with the rest in controlling the destructive fire.
This making it to three the number of schools that have since suffered fire in a week.
