Monday, September 39, 2024 –Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has faulted President William Ruto for not telling the truth about protests.
Addressing questions from K24 Tv interview on Monday September 30, the second-in-command admitted that there is a problem between him and his boss who seems hell-bent on blaming him on the Gen Zs protest.
“I said there is a problem. The President said its Ford Foundation. Has been on record condemning Ford as the one funding protest now he is in Washington meeting the same people. Now what are we saying as a country?” posed Gachagua.
The DP wondered how the head of State has been openly shifting goal posts on who is behind the anti-government protests.
“He started with Uhuru, Ford Foundation and now it is Gachagua. There is a problem somewhere because today you say this and tomorrow you change say something different”.
Gachagua who is now facing ouster from government and his UDA Party, has been blamed by President William Ruto’s allies for being behind the recent unrest in the country.
A section of UDA Party MPs claim Gachagua had a plan to remove Ruto from office through an organised coupe which was, however, foiled before it matured.
