Wednesday, November 8, 2023 -Fee for the replacement of identity cards ID has been moved from sh 100 to sh 2,000.
In a Gazette Notice issued by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, government also announced an increase in the fee for persons acquiring an ID for the first time to sh 1000.
The government also introduced further hiked levies on obtaining birth certificates from sh 50 to sh 200.
Passport and Visa applicants have also been affected.
