Saturday, July 27, 2024 ––Narc-Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has rejected attempts by a section of Kenyans to propose her as the next Attorney General following the exit of Justin Muturi
Today Saturday July 27 morning, a social post emerged praising the former Gichuki member of parliament for her outstanding career path and qualifications. In the post, she was touted as the most favourable candidate for the vacant AG post.

“I support Martha Karua for the position of Attorney General. Her advice is much needed by the Government. Martha Karua should take the position immediately,” Peter Kariuki made the post in which he also listed all her career and education history and qualification.
But in a sharp response, Ms Karua only thanked him but added that she was not interested with the offer even if the rumour was true.
“Thank you. Not interested,” she responded.
Karua, a co-principal in Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance, this week, wrote a withdrawal notice from their coalition after ODM Party led by Raila Odinga accepted to work with President William Ruto in the government of National Unity.
Karua stated that it was nolonger tenable to stay in Azimio coalition because of the recent developments.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka also rejected such attempts by the government to lure him into joining them. He openly stated that he will not fall for the scheme to interfere with the work and role of the opposition.
