A dispute over a Ksh 20 Mutura debt in Umoja 3 Estate, Nairobi escalated into a tragic confrontation on Tuesday night resulting in the death of one man and another succumbing to mob justice.
The incident began as a minor misunderstanding between the two men but things quickly turned into a physical altercation. During the fight, the man who owed the Ksh 20 for Mutura struck his opponent, causing him to lose consciousness.
The victim was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. In an act of vengeance, an angry mob descended on the man responsible for the killing, beating him severely.
He succumbed to the mob’s violence shortly thereafter.
