Infotrak Research Organisation has put Kakamega County as the best performing county in the country this 2020.
Governor Wycliffe Oparanya who also doubles up as the Council of Governors CoG Chairman has been put at rank one with 82.3% in terms of performance
Salim Mvuria from Kwale, according to the polls, came close second with 77.1% followed by Makueni’s Kivutha Kibwana and Kisumu’s Anyang Nyong’o. Kibwana garnered 74.4 % while Nyong’o scored 65.9%.
Conspicuously missing in the best five list of governors is the Maendeleo Chap Chap Party leader Alfred Mutua from Machakos who scored 65.1 percent.
Kakamega County’s development record came first with 57.2%, Kwale 54.8%, Makueni 54.7% Kisumu 53.4% Uasin Gishu 53.1%, West Pokot 52.7% and Elgeyo Marakwet 51.2%.
In terms of Agriculture, Kakamega also came top followed by West Pokot, Makueni, Bungoma and Uasin Gishu counties in that order.
In Educational standards, Kwale County led followed closely by Kakamega, West Pokot, Makueni, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kisumu, Bungoma and Lamu Counties.
