Thursday, March 11, 2021 -Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has confessed on live tv that there was a problem with the Handshake but that has since been settled.
Speaking on Citizen tv’s Day Break segment by Trevor Ombija, Amollo noted that, just like in any other relationship, there must be some misunderstanding and so is the Handshake.
“Trevor, we all know that any relationship must have ups and downs. Just like any other relationship, the handshake had its own challenges and that’s why we raised the concerns that you saw that day. The issues were sorted and we are now fine.” he stated.
The eloquent legislator broke down the three groups of persons currently in the country who are: those that like the BBI but hate Raila thinking he will use the vehicle to become anything. He reasoned that these are the public servants who have now decided to stand in between the Handshake partners because they have been doing that in the past elections. He said such persons believe that they must have a say in who becomes what in the country.
The second group is that which hates ODM and Raila and also hates the president and therefore anything from the two must be not see the light of day . They do not believe in anything that the two can come up with. And that these are the people led by DP William Ruto.
Third and last is the group that belive in reasoning together through unity among leaders and Kenyans which the BBI has brought forth. This group, according to Amollo, does not prioritize 2022 succession. He falls here.
Last Sunday, Siaya Senator James Orengo claimed certain civil servants were plotting to stop Raila through Statehouse machinations. He warned that shall this not be urgently addressed, they will be be left with no alternative but to embark on their plan B.
