Uhuru on why his First Term was a Complete Failure

In an indirect attack to rebels in Jubilee Party, Uhuru told Ukambani leaders at Statehouse that he has been able to turn around the development record of his government after he joined forces with Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party which is led by former Premier Raila Odinga.

“I have done much more than I was able to do even in my first term. Why? Because I have been able to focus myself working in conjunction with my colleagues and being able to focus on the development agenda and not the political agenda,” Uhuru stated.

Though he steered clear on mentioning names directly, Uhuru accused some corrupt individuals in his Jubilee government for being behind his poor development record in the first term between 2013 and 2017. He has since warned Kenyans against supporting such individuals who now want to seek power through different outfits.

Mr. Kenyatta is now basking in the glory of country wide support after he shook hands with his rival Raila Odinga in 2018.

However, this remark has not gone well with Ruto’s camp who now think that the head of State was busy soiling their name after using them to take power twice.

For Instance, DP Ruto answered back asking his boss what happened to the over 8 million Jubilee supporters who voted for them in 2013 and 2017.

This back and forth between the two top leaders signals the start of a bitter political combat that will finally deliver a final hammer in their relationship.
