Tuesday, January 12, 2021 -Ugandan leading opposition force Robert Kyagulanyi professionally known as Bobi Wine has applied technology and brains to bring down Yoweri Museveni.
As Museveni relied on old tactics of bullying and intimidation using free State machinery, Wine on the other hand stayed focused on technology.
Through power of technology, the National Unity Platform NUP Party leader has managed to sensor all giant players in social media communication – Facebook and Twitter – to ban Museveni and his errant bloggers from spreading tribal politics arguing this could lead to both animosity and bloodbath. They heard this and they shut all the bloggers associated with NRM.
And to stop Museveni from stealing votes, Wine further through his team of able youth launched an App dubbed YuVote which is already embedded on the Playstore. According to Wine’s election team, this App will help a great deal in counting votes hence making it difficult for the ruling elite to rig him out.
This according to sources is what informed Ugandan authorities led by Museveni’s son Inspector General Muhoozi Kainerugaba to order the disabling of Internet services during the entire voting period slated to kick off on 14 January 2021.
Moreover, clever Wine has made sure that his team is well arranged and orderly in dealing with early attempts to interfere with election exercise. Pundits say Wine and his smart youthful team made one major reason why Museveni unleashed terror on them through sponsored goons in the name of Army.
During campaigns, Bobi Wine made it clear that they were aware that Museveni was going to rig because that is what he has been doing all along. Wine however said they were ready to deal with that part of stage when the time comes.
Furthermore, the singer-turned-fierce politician managed to managed to attract crowds through putting together an edible manifesto that is addressing most of what has been lacking in Uganda top on the list being Freedom for Citizens and making sure people from poor background get equal opportunities.
With all these plans at his hand, Bobi Wine is said to be winning the elections if done in a transparent, fair and free manner; and even if he will lose, this young blood would have served a notice to Museveni and his surrogates.
