Elsewhere, Turkana Central Member of Parliament MP Emathe Namuar has tendered his public apology to the people he represents in Parliament after voting ‘Yes’ to the contentious Finance Bill 2024.

“I apologise for voting ‘Yes’ on Finance Bill 2024. I thank President Ruto for returning the Finance Bill to the Parliament for debate again. I thank him for allowing a dialogue following a huge public outcry.

“First, I thank him for good leadership to make sure every Kenyan can know that the President is a man who can listen to all.

President William Ruto, yesterday Wednesday June 26, declined to assent to the Bill and, instead, decided to take it back to the Parliament where it can be thrown away or re-debated.
