Sunday, July 4, 2021 -Jubilee Party is now considering to redesign their identification in preparations for next general elections.
Reports reaching Homenes.co.ke show that the party’s leadership wants to do away with any URP related colours after Deputy President William Ruto literally walked away to a new party UDA.
Scanty news on the matter hinted that Uhuru-allied politicians have already proposed drastic changes in both the colour and logo of the Jubilee Party. They reportedly want any yellow and black colours changed because they were part of the URP Party. On the other hand, the White and Red colours associated with Uhuru’s TNA will be retained.
Jubilee Party was formed after a total of 11 smaller parties were folded, merged to form a vehicle which was used to sucfessfully seek power in both 2013 and 2022.
DP’s main undoing was to launch a new party and which he announced to use incase things continued to fall apart in their Jubilee Party. And now having fronted so many candidates to face off with Jubilee in many by-elections across the country, his fate is as good as sealed.
Our sources have told this desk that, further, Jubilee Party leadership wants the Tuko Pamoja(We are Together) slogan and symbol dropped and a new one proposed.
These developments were discussed in a lengthy meeting held last Friday in a Nairobi Hotel and which saw Mr. David Murathe, Secretary General Raphael Tuju and Chairman Nelson Dzuya attend.
“We are considering rebranding the party —including the colours, slogan — to have an independent identity now that the URP wing has moved out,” said Joshua Kutuny.
The exercise to rebrand Jubilee is slated to kick off very soon and to be concluded by September this year.
“There are those who have moved out of the party and we are strengthening our party. We are treating anybody who has been associating with UDA as an enemy hence they do not qualify for this retreat,” Kutuny also divulged.
In the recent past, however, DP William Ruto allied politicians have been busy popularizing their UDA Party.
