Friday, March 12, 2021 -Jubilee Party Deputy Party leader Joshua Kutuny has promised never to let the Handshake crumble prematurely.
He laughed at those claiming nonstop that the Handshake between Uhuru and Raila will fail saying that would be the last thing to happen between now and the election time in 2022.
Kutuny’s sentiments are coming at a time cracks are simmering in the Handshake team where Raila Odinga allies have read some mischief in the way President Uhuru Kenyatta was running the show.
“We will not allow it to fail, we will use every means to protect it. We have listened to the concerns raised by ODM and the matters are being addressed,” Kutuny said On Thursday.
Also Majority Party leader Samuel Pogisio defended the President saying he was committed to their deal with Odinga and the Buiding Bridges Initiative BBI.
He explained that this makes the main reason the President had even decided to invite the rest of the Party leaders in uniting the nation.
“That is why he (Uhuru) is reaching out to more people and expanding the handshake by bringing on board the party leaders to pass the BBI and by extension 2022 succession politics,” he told a local publication.
Odinga allied politicians seemingly are not happy with the manner in which the Statehouse machinery was elevating other lesser Party leaders to Odinga’s level despite him doing the donkey work in BBI.
