Thursday, March 4, 2021 -Lang’ata Member of Parliament Nixon Korir was captured kicking back police teargas lobbed at him today in the Nakuru’s London Ward by-election.
The youthful MP Korir kicked back the teargas canister to police officers as chaos took center stage at Millimani Primary Polling Station.
Several United Democratic Movement UDA supporters also engaged with the police in the a chase game as voters took to the polling station to cast their votes to elect their preferred Member of County Assembly.

Korir claimed that the police came with goons and started beating him up together with the rest of his team.
“Police have been compromised. I am the chief agent in this station and I’ve not been allowed to get into any station. All the other agents are inside. This is rigging. What are they planning?” Korir said.
Elsewhere, in Kabuchai Bungoma County where the United Democratic Alliance UDA have a candidate, MPs Didmus Barasa, Nelson Koech and Senator Samson Cherargei were arrested by police amid claims of voter bribery.
The politicians were seen bundled in a police Land Cruiser and surrounded by police officers.
Today March 4, a number of by-elections took place in separate parts of the country, Matungu (Kakamega), Kabuchai (Bungoma), Hells Gate, London Wards (both in Nakuru) and Kiamokama in Kisii County.
