Tuesday, March 28, 2023 –Police have been deployed in Kenyatta’s Northlands Farm 24 hours later after invasion that took place yesterday leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Invaders who seemed to have been planned and protected broke into the multimillion Ruiru City Farm and stole animals among them sheep as well as cut down logs of trees and ran away with them during the daylight.
And today Tuesday March 28, almost an hour to noon, the officers were seen arriving aboard their land rovers to the Kenyatta family-owned parcel that houses one of the most high-end schools on land.
The Star reported that, this was taking place after dozens of unknown people on Monday raided the land situated along the Eastern Bypass, Ruiru.
The group was armed with power saws and machetes and felled a number of trees before escaping with an unknown number of sheep.
Witnesses said the gang gained access to the land from the Kamakis side via the busy Eastern bypass and some were seen carrying sheep from the property.
Interestingly, upto now, neither the National Police Service, Inspector General nor Cabinet Secretary for Interior has addressed the issue.
At the same time, Northlands had goons, the East Africa Spectre Limited owned by opposition leader, Raila Odinga, along Mombasa Road was also being raided.
Reacting on the matter, Independent Policing Oversight Authority IPOA hassaid they are investigating the failure of police to provide security to private property in Nairobi.
