Thursday, July 4, 2024 –President William Ruto will be joining X Space to talk to the youths across the country amid youth demonstrations.

The confirmation was made today Thursday July 4 evening following the ongoing Gen Zs protest against his government.

A source privy to the plan has shared that the head of State will have a three-hour discussion dubbed Q and A session that will see every young man in the country get an opportunity to ask questions and get answers.

The session is scheduled tomorrow from 2PM to 5PM.

On his June 30 interview with journalists from major media houses, the commander-in-chief assured the youths that he was willing to engage with them on a platform they are most comfortable. This is after he learnt that they were not willing to have multi-sectorial forum which had been constituted by the President.

Gen Zs have been piling pressure on Ruto’s government after it had passed the Finance Bill 2024 against their wishes.

To make good their threats, they poured on the Nairobi streets and upto the Parliament where which they claimed had passed the bill despite wide concerns.

In their statement, the youths noted that the Finance Bill had new tax proposals that seemingly would hurt their pockets.
