Monday, September 5, 2022 –The Supreme Court of Kenya is scheduled to deliver the presidential petition judgment at noon today Monday September 5.
Registrar of the court, Letizia Wachira noted that the seven judges will be sited in the Milimani-based law court chambers at exactly 12PM.
The seven judges include Chief Justice Martha Koome, Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, Isaac Lenaola, Smokin Wanjala, Ibrahim Mohammed, Njoki Ndungu, and Justice William Ouko.
“Take notice that the judgment in this petition will be delivered on Monday, September 5, 2022, at noon at the Supreme Court of Kenya Milimani Law Courts,” partly read the official notice.
Azimio contender Raila Odinga and Martha Karua filed a petition challenging the outcome of the presidential election in favour of president-elect, William Ruto.
In their petition, they argued that the tallying process of the whole exercise was flawed after a section of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC leadership colluded with their rival to change final numbers.
