Saturday, November 5, 2022 –A section of social media users has taken issue with the new owner of Twitter tycoon Elon Musk whom they are now accusing of running the once glorious platform like a casino den.
Renowned American Journalist, Dan Rather, today Saturday November 5 morning posed a question to his Twitter followers on whether Mr. Musk would manage running Twitter upto it success.
He likened the way Musk was behaving on the platform to the former United States President Donald Trump.
“Is Musk running Twitter like Trump ran his casinos?” Dan Rather posed.
It saw thousands pour to the comments section with different reactions some terming Musk as a man on a mission to destroy Twitter.
“Somehow worse if possible? Trump didn’t bankrupt his Casino in a month,” Paul Benson answered.
Dark Branton, on his part, said Trump was a bit better since he didn’t ask for $8 to admit members into his casino business.
“To be fair, Trump’s casinos didn’t ask for $8 admission before you were allowed to gamble,” Branton recounted.
Ms Quanah Schel, on her part, noted that Twitter is now circling the drain and that all those folks Elon has fired are going to put him out of business, very soon.
They were saying this after the new owner posted a tweet on why he had fired a number of workers from Twitter after his takeover.
“Regarding Twitter’s reduction in force, unfortunately there is no choice when the company is losing over $4M/day. Everyone exited was offered 3 months of severance, which is 50% more than legally required,” he wrote.
Musk also defended his $8 subscription charges saying the entitled elite is not mad that they have to pay $8/month. “They’re mad that anyone can pay $8/month”.
Musk, the richest man on planet earth, acquired Twitter company last week at a staggering $ 44 billion.
