Monday, January 18, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta has hinted at remaining in service for Kenyans in 2022.
Attending a live interview on a local Radio station over the weekend, Mr. Kenyatta said he was ready to leave the presidency when his last term elapses but equally available to serve Kenyans in any other capacity shall it present itself.
“Let’s remain patriotic.
“I am not interested in power after my retirement, but am ready to serve the country in any capacity,” Uhuru stated.
This comes as a shocker to those who have been pushing him out of any power citing that he need not jostle for positions with other Kenyans because he has had his stint to serve the country for two terms.
Uhuru also made it clear that his main aim with Mr. Raila Odinga was not anything to do with the 2022 succession politics as claimed by a section of his detractors.
He challenged anyone with evidence, to show how and when he promised to support Mr. Odinga’s 2022 presidential ambitions.
