Friday, January 1, 2021 -Nairobi ex-Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta against continued betrayal of those who supported him to become the president twice.
Making this remarks on Thursday December 31 during MP Feisal Bader homecoming ceremony held in Msambweni, embattled Sonko noted that the rate at which Uhuru was sending home everyone who supported him was alarming and which may ground his leadership for the remaining 2 years.
“He has turned on everyone including Aden Duale, Kipchumba Murkomen, Susan Kihika and he also betrayed me, a close friend and brother,” Sonko listed.
This was happening at Babla Grounds in Kwale County where Tanga tanga brigade had camped to give thanks to the electorates for defeating Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party in the just ended by-election.
Since his unceremonious removal from office, angry Sonko has been on a charm offensive with unsubstantiated claims against Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee administration. He has been on record openly referring to Kenyatta as another ‘African Dictator’.
Kenyans.co.ke for instance reported that the ex-governor, while addressing in the late Machakos Senator’s funeral service said the politician had been killed by the State for saying the truth about the country.
“Before his death, Kabaka was vocal about a piece of land that some individuals wanted to grab …We know what you did and I want to tell other leaders that if they continue to keep silent about such matters, they will be next,” Sonko claimed.
He asked for fresh probe in the death of the politician saying many were also being targeted by the State due to their political stand. Video/Courtesy-
