A middle aged man died in a Mombasa bound bus on Thursday November 26th.
Reports reaching Homenes.co.ke desk showed that the ailing passenger from Busia County headed to Mombasa through Simba Coach bus succumbed shortly after exhibiting fever and pains for the last few days.
Recounting this to the police, fear-gripped sister to the diseased man who was in company of his brother disclosed that he has been unwell with high fever.
And confirming the incident, Makueni County Commissioner Maalim Mohammed, said fellow passengers in the bus only realised the death case when they had reached Mukaa area near Malili Town where the bus had been parked in line with Covid-19 curfew regulations.
“The passengers had just gone out to take a breather and when they came back, they realized that the man was dead,” Mohammed stated.
Quickly after the scaring incident, health officers were called, swung into action with fumigation gadgets before the lifeless body was taken to Machakos Level V facility Morgue.
Subsequently, all the passengers who were in the bus were asked to self-isolate. Their contacts were taken by authorities for follow up and contact tracing shall there be need to.
Just three days ago, a man died while traveling in a Matatu along the busy Mombasa Road in Nairobi. Despite Covid-19 claims, real cause of the death is yet to be made public.
