Monday June 14, 2021 -Just hours after businessman Chris Kirubi was announced dead by family, former Gem Member of Parliament Jakoyo Midiwo is dead.
According to the family, Mr. Midiwo passed on Monday evening after a fatal battle with illness that he finally succumbed to.
Unfortunately, his death follows that of his sister and who is yet to be buried. She is set to be buried next Saturday.
Through their Twitter handle, Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party mourned the late Midiwo as a defender of their party who took on media debates with alot of confidence.
“Sad day for our party. We have just lost a gallant son of the soil, a founder member of the Change Movement & a three time Member of Parliament for Gem Hon. Jakoyo Midiwo.
“He was a defender of the party & never shied away from speaking the truth. To the family, we say POLE SANA,” the party wrote.
It is long since the politician was heard in public. His low key political career started when he lost in the 2017 ODM primaries. Though he protested the outcome citing rigging, he would later learn to live with the pain.
He then went into featuring more on national television panelists table where national matters were viciously debated.
