Saturday, June 26, 2021 -Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui took it upon himself to confront Deputy President William Ruto over a church function.
According to sources, Dr. Ruto who was allegedly campaigning in a church function in Nakuru as supporters chanted the Hustler songs was indirectly rebuked by area governor Mr. Kinyanjui who dressed him down over the behavior.

“As you know, I have been accused of building churches, but I will not stop; we must work with places of Worship,” Ruto said amid cheers from his supporters who had thronged the church.
But the agitated governor Mr. Lee Kinyajui quickly made a remark against the DP accusing him of hiring rowdy youths to make noise and cause chaos in church; which is unethically correct.
The visibly dejected county boss further accused members of Tangatanga of using money to disrespect the Temple of God – a behaviour which stinks.
“We should know the difference between a church function and a political function before we talk. What picture are we showing to visitors who are from abroad who came for a church function only to be turned into a political ground? This behavior is so bad, and it should be stopped,” Lee Kinyanjui remarked.

This was also happening despite the fact that government stopped public gatherings so that to slow down the Covid-19 spread which has since reached a critical level.
The two met at the N akuru Athletics Club, during the consecration service of Full Gospel Churches of Kenya of the General Overseer-elect Bishop David Macharia,
