Tuesday, April 20, 2021 -Jubilee Party wants a complete divorce with their United Democratic Alliance UDA Party.
In a letter written to the Registrar of Political Parties today Tuesday April 20, Secretary General Raphael Tuju argued that the current UDA Party officials and members are not exactly the same ones they signed the deal with during their first union; and due to that reason alone, there is need to stop any further engagements with them.
He further reasoned that the current UDA officials are hostile and can nolonger have a peaceful discussion with them.
The SG, went on to detail how it is not possible to harmonise policies, ideologies and vision in the spirit of their Jubilee Party coalition as each side now seems to be pulling differently.
“We have found ourselves as strange bedfellows especially with the UDA use of their identity as ‘hustlers’ which has negative dictionary meaning and connotation. This is also at complete variance of our motto Tuko pamoja,” partly read the letter as signed by Tuju.
The letter also pointed out several instances the UDA members insulted their Kieleweke wing in public against the political Parties act. This recklessness, according to Mr. Tuju, cannot warrant any more working relationship between them since it is already full of suspicion and betrayal and enmity.
“We lodged a proposed Coalition Agreement with PDR(Peoples Democratic Republic) in 2018 based on those specific objectives as captured in Article 3 of the Agreement,” the letter stated.
Tuju further noted that the members from the affiliate party were therefore required to meet certain requirements which they never and are hard to direct, dictate and demand as of now due to the prevailing circumstances.
