Thursday, April 15, 2021 -Trouble of hierarchy has started rocking the newly formed One Kenya Alliance with Wiper Party wing reading a scheme to make them ‘flower girls’.
The alliance which comprises the quartet of Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang’ula and Gideon Moi is reportedly going through trust challenges with Kalonzo Musyoka not happy with plans to see him appear a distant third in hierarchy.
Reports have it that some ‘unmentioned’ forces want to push for a Musalia-Gideon presidential ticket against the wishes of their Wiper counterparts. Any such move will see Kalonzo and Wetang’ula relegated down the alliance protocol.
The power struggle within the One Kenya Alliance may see the less talkative Musyoka become a prime minister in the new dispensation of BBI.
Word has it that Musyoka’s party members are jittery over such plans to make Gideon and Musalia the Uhuru Kenyatta heirs when it is obvious that Kalonzo is their senior. They also want the process of picking a final presidential candidate halted until BBI fate is known.
They argued that there is still a possibility of shooting down the BBI draft Bill hence need to wait until everything is clear. This, according to them, may leave anyone who will be promised the PM post with some clue of who he can become in case of anything.
“The issue is yet to be formally deliberated on by the technical committee working on the alliance but there are strong winds blowing in favour of the Musalia-Gideon presidential ticket,” Musyoka’s ally mentioned.
He added that such dirty tricks will not be taken lightly and could lead to unnecessary riot in the whole Alliance.
“We will not accept, we better use a scientific method to arrive at the One Kenya alliance presidential flag-bearer and his running mate without being directed from somewhere,” the MP protested.
Operatives from the Statehouse are reportedly behind the Musalia-Gideon ticket and are proposing the PM slot left for Mr. Musyoka.
