Friday, June 18, 2021 -Deputy Chief Inspector Edward Mbugua has lost a daughter in a city ghastly road accident that saw the daughter knocked down in the morning.
In an OB statement seen by the media, the accident took place on June 17, 20221 at about 0800hrs along Tome Mboya Street – Murang’a Lane.
The accident involved cars KBR 065B Isuzu Minus KMO SACCO which was being driven by Patrick Macharia Magu and another car Reg No KBL 744A Isuzu Bus from city shuttle which was being wheeled by Christopher Main Kirecho.
The daughter was a pedestrian aged 25 years old who was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to injuries.
According to sources, the driver of the first car was reversing along Murang’a lane blocking the victim from seeing the oncoming car which then crashed her.
She died while at Kenyatta National Hospital KNH before her body was taken to Kenyatta University Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
Both cars are currently detained at Central Police Station.
