Saturday, March 12, 2022 –MP Kimani Ichung’wah has sharply differed with Gatundu Member of Parliament Moses Kuria over Central Kenya politics.
The two lawmakers on Friday March 10 engaged in a bitter exchange of words ahead of their boss William Ruto’s tour to the region.
Kikuyu Legislator made it clear that Kuria was not welcome in UDA family until he will start to behave. He added that only when the vocal MP will tore the line is when they will engage him.
He has also told off Kuria not to come in Kenya Kwanza coalition with high expectations because a lot has gone on since the time he went separate on them.
“He should not come to UDA to create confusion and sell party tickets during nominations,” Ichung’wah said.
Ichung’wah stated that Kuria’s main agenda was to cause divisions in Kenya Kwanza and could turn it into a den of quarrels because of his style of policking.
Ichung’wah also revealed that Kuria’s Chama cha Kazi Party was not in any talks with their party UDA as he had announced earlier.
“I’m not aware of any such partnership. UDA is a party that welcomes everyone and if he intends to join UDA, he is welcome but not to create confusion to vend tickets. Our people are in UDA as their party of choice,” Ichung’wah stated.
On his part, Kuria wondered why Ichung’wah was attacking him over his choice of party and stated that his joining Kenya Kwanza should not be used as a channel of abuse from some quarters.
“I have read the unwarranted attacks on me by my colleague Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah appearing in today’s Daily Nation with shock and dismay,” Kuria fired.
He also affirmed that he will not be leaving his Chama cha Kazi for Ruto’s UDA Party and that should there be any talks of working together, this stand will not change.
“Mr Ichung’wah seems to have a lot of bile towards me for choosing to belong to the Chama Cha Kazi Party and not the UDA party. This is my democratic right that will not be taken away by Ichung’wah’s juvenile attacks,” Kuria stated.
The exchange between the two MPs now tells that the two factions of UDA and Chama cha Kazi are not in any talks of working together. Whatever Kuria had announced on his Facebook some times back has turned out to be just a hallucination over failed hopes.
