Murathe Reveals How Long it Will Take Mt. Kenya to get Presidency Again

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 -Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe has opened to his Mt. Kenya Region on how it will take a very long time to get another Kikuyu person in power.

Through his social media platform, Murathe said that as of now, there is no strong man or woman from the region who can take over from Uhuru.

Adding weight to what his friend President Uhuru Kenyatta said a few months ago during a burial service in Vihiga, Mr. Murathe urged the Kikuyus to live with the fact that the next leader must come from another community no matter what.

“Kikuyus having known that the presidency will take some time to come our way will be charting the best way to have the incoming president hold their projects at heart.

“No thieves will be ALLOWED to vie,” Murathe wrote on social media.

He added that the only way Kikuyus can be close to power is by supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s plan to leave the country in safer hands as he plans to exit the stage. This according to Murtahe will allow Kikuyus to share the high table of power which will allow the community some time to groom someone to become something after 2022.

He however, clarified that Deputy President William Ruto is among those Uhuru cannot support for the top seat due to obvious reasons.
