Saturday, June 22, 2024 –Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba was on Friday June 21 night booed by angry revelers at Fred Omondi’s last memorial and tribute Party organised by a group of top comedians in the country.
While attempting to address the gathering from the podium at at the Carnivore Simba Salon where Churchill was the host, Mr. Ababu who was promising the industry a bright future, was cut short by Gen Zs who had flocked the night event.
The energetic young men and women stood firm calling out the Kenya Kwanza administration amid Ababu Namwamba’s speech.
“Wezi Wezi Wezi,” they booed the CS who seemed determined to complete his speech despite the embossment.
On his part, the CS Sports, termed the booing as part of the long-achieved democracy in the country where everybody is allowed to agree or disagree with other’s opinion in a peaceful way.
He also used the opportunity to highlight a few recent achievements in his docket saying all reflect their Bottom Up agenda.

Young men – the Gen z – across the country have bene pouring on the street in protest against the Finance Bill 2024.
They have successfully staged two mega demonstrations against the Bill which has since passed its second reading in Parliament.
Though amendments are planned to take place, the youths are skeptical that their government could ‘give with one hand and take with another’.
Two young men have since lost their lives in the demonstration following police shooting.
