Sunday, September 26, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto and his political nemesis Raila Odinga today shared same Bible verse on their social media platforms.
On Sunday September 26, the two political arch-rivals who are known to be on the extreme opposite sides of the political divide treated their supporters on an unusual coincidence.
The duo, in separate church functions, quoted Psalms 133 in which Ruto was the first person to share the verse on Twitter while attending a thanksgiving church service at AIPCA St. Lorent Angaine Church Timau in Meru County. A screen-grab of his post read 1.20PM
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! — Psalm 133,” read the tweet by the DP.
Later on, the African Union AU Special Envoy Raila Odinga also shared the same Bible verse alongside a video addressing a gathering at PCEA Nanyuki at about 2.42 P M. His post however was a little longer.
“Happy to fellowship with the congregants at PCEA Nanyuki, Laikipia County. We pray for the health and well-being of all Kenyans and ask God to bless our nation and keep us united,” read the tweet from the handshake partner – Odinga.

The country quickly noticed this coincidence and took to comments section praising the two leaders for the move. However, a section also thought Odinga was copy-pasting Ruto’s political strategy.
Their obsession with churches just 10 months to next polls indicates that the political class had now resorted to raiding supporters from churches even as a section of Anglican leadership condemns politics on pulpit.
