Thursday, June 16, 2022 –Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has revealed how United Democratic Alliance UDA Party is undermining other players in the coalition.
Speaking through his Facebook page on Wednesday June 15 evening, the MP while reacting on the recent altercation between William Kabogo and Senator Wamatangi, noted that this was a pre-planned scheme to embarrass Mr. Kabogo and a few others who are not in UDA Party.
“For three days the UDA leadership has been meeting UDA MP and MCA candidates to plot how to embarrass Kabogo and me during the tour,” Kuria said.
He went ahead to claim that politicians allied to Kabogo and himself had already been warned of dire consequences in the coalition.
“This chicanery is not healthy for our fledgling alliance. It is imperative that we live with not only the letter but also the spirit of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance,” he added.
Kuria added that there could be a possibility of more infights unless the coalition’s top brass starts treating everybody equally.
Kuria further charged that there are some individuals in Kenya Kwanza who think they are final in decision making; what then amounts to ‘conman ship and deceit’.
In Kenya Kwanza rally held recently in Kiambu County, Senator Wamatangi faced Kabogo and asked him to shelf his gubernatorial ambitions.
“I’m rallying you to vote me as governor on UDA and I will deliver on the promises that I make. I can also lead the Kiambu people and I won’t be intimidated at all,” Wamatangi remarked.
But Kabogo couldn’t take this lying down and quickly fired back saying Senator Wamatangi had sensed an early defeat.
