Monday, May 24, 2021 -Moses Kuria has withdrawn from Kiambaa by-election following unsettled voices in their United Democratic Alliance UDA Party.
Kuria made this withdrawal official saying his candidate for Kiambaa seat Raymond Kuria will not be participating anymore and that this is to avert simmering internal supremacy battles among the UDA politicians.
He linked his decision to two MPs who were not happy with his steady strides in politics of Mt. Kenya, among them Kikuyu MP Kimanhi Ichung’wah and Mathira’s Rigathi Gachagua.
For Gachagua, he recently and openly clashed with Kuria just hours after the latter fronted his Peoples Empowerment Party PEP’s candidate in the Kiambaa race as, on the other hand, UDA Party came with John Njuguna as its preferred candidate.
The Gatanga legislator has since apologized to Kiambaa residents and his PEP candidate Mr. Raymond for this move but clarified that they are now going to focus on nationwide tours in readiness for 2022.
According to Kuria, the Hustlers UDA Party has Johnson Muthama-led UDA, former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri’s The Service Party (TSP) and Omingo Magara-led Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) all which are equal stakeholders in the Hustler Nation, which “offers a platform for political participation and mentorship in leadership for a new crop of leaders and professionals”.
He has also promised to focus his energy in fighting to become the next president of the Republic of Kenya.
