Friday, January 26, 2024 –Government has lost an application to implement the Housing Levy pending the hearing of the Appeal.
The ruling delivered today Friday January 26 means that the Housing Levy remains unconstitutional and cannot be ‘imposed’ on citizens.
The government suffered this major setback after the Court of Appeal declined to suspend orders barring the state from deducting housing levy from Kenyans.
