In his Wednesday ruling, Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo said he had considered Olaba’s mitigation and a probation report tabled in court and reached to a conclusion that he ought to be punished for his actions of trying to tamper with justice.

Police said they set a trap for the former Kenya 7s star after they got wind of his plot to eradicate key witness in a bid to frustrate the rape case filed by musician, Wendy Kemunto.

While rendering the ruling inside Nairobi Court today, Judge Onsarigo noted that the prosecution had proved beyond doubt its case against the accused person.

“Having gone through the evidence in this case, I find the accused guilty of the offence,” the magistrate ruled.
