Kimanzi sacked, Ghost Mulee back to Harambee Stars

Ex-Harambee Stars Coach Jacob Ghost Mulee has been picked to replace Francis Kimanzi who exited the scene today Tuesday October 20.

The Kenyan Football Federation FKF, according to details seen by Goal.com website, had settled on Mulee’s name as the best and perfect replacement of Coach Kimanzi.

Ghost once coached the National Team back in 2004 pushing it to the Africa Cup of Nations finals which was held in Tunisia.

“We are set to unveil ‘Ghost’ after doing away with Kimanzi, the ceremony will be held on tomorrow [Wednesday] and he will be given a free hand to pick his backroom staff,” a source told the publication.

And reacting on the matter, the former tactician who is now working as a radio presenter with Radio Africa Nairobi remarked that he was yet to get any official communication from anyone but that he had been severally approached for the assignment.

He remained cagey on the appointment which has been received with varied concerns from football lovers across the country some who thought the culture of recycling coaches was not the best for the national team Haramnbee Stars which now requires fresh management to change the game of football in this country.

“What I can tell you is that the federation officials contacted me on Sunday asking if I am available to take over the mantle but I told them I cannot talk about a job, which already has a person,” he responded.

Kimanzi replaced Sebastien Migne who left the country after severing ways with the FKF president Nick Mwendwa on contractual terms.

The appointment of Mulee comes just days after Nick Mwendwa’s reelection at the top of the federation.
