Sunday, February 11, 2024 -Lawyer Ekuro Aukot has warned President William Ruto against violation of the Laws.
Aukot who is responsible for stopping the deployment of Kenyan police officers to Haiti for peacekeeping mission, has threatened to go back to the court should Ruto go ahead and send the police to Haiti.
“Trust me, I will push for a Constitutional Amendment to criminalize violation of the constitution and to hold him responsible for violating the constitution. I know Kenyans will agree with me,” added Aukot.
He was respond to a tweet made by a responsible Kenyan who claimed that the president is in deep consultations with Dr. Ariel Henry and State Department USA to have the police leave to Haiti despite court orders saying otherwise.
“President Ruto is in consultation with Dr. Ariel Henry and state dept to send Kenyans troops to Haiti while we don’t need them with the current leadership,” the tweet read.
This development is coming at the time Ruto publicly maintained that Haiti exercise will go on no matter what happens.
