Tuesday, January 30, 2024 –Man has today evening been arrested with sh 1.5M loot at a city restaurant.
Mark Kipruto Kuto, on being arrested, claimed he was acting for an unnamed Principal Secretary and that the cash was to help the complainant secure CEO post at South Nyanza Sugar factory.
The suspect is currently being held at Integrity House before fraud charges can be pressed against him.
This is happening at the time Kenya Kwanza administration led by President William Ruto accused the Judiciary of rampant corruption with judges.
This saw the trio arms of government – the executive, Parliament and the Judiciary – meet at the Statehouse Kenya to deliberate and agree on how to wipe away corrupt elements from their departments.
As Speaker Moses Wetang’ua led the delegation from the Parliament, Chief Justice Martha Koome led her lean team into the talks which was presided over by the commander-in-chief.
