Wednesday, July 19, 2023 –Nakuru West Lawmaker MP Samuel Arama brandished his personal firearm against a section of residents during anti-State demonstrations.
He was taking issue with goons who were vandalizing shops in his area as protests escalated across major towns today, Wednesday July 19.

“Mimi nitapiga mtu risasi leo…” he threatened as police who were at the scene also watched his actions.
The MP is not new to drawing guns in public. He has been ragged to court severally for threatening to shoot at individuals.
Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina called out the MP for his culture of drawing guns in public saying this could cause more harm.
“Tabia mbaya sana… this is how you destroy a country …” he commented.
A source told this desk that MP Arama drew his gun after he was confronted by angry demonstrators at Shabaab area of Nakuru.
On seeing this, the crowd started scampering for safety and let him be even as they engaged police in running battles in the outer parts of the city.

The hundreds of protesters barricaded the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway at Kolen and Eveready roundabout.
The chaos started as early as 8:30 AM with the demonstrators barricading main roads to the CBD and lighting bonfires.
