Tuesday, April 2, 2024 -Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress ANC Party is set to fold into the United Democratic Alliance UDA Party.
Speaking in a party function this week, Mudavadi indicated that another earthquake was looming and advised supporters to remain patient as he prepares to make the official announcement.
“As a strong member of ANC Party, I must tell you that even though I may, currently, not be the party leader of the ANC, there is an urgent need to start engaging into deeper debates including how to strengthen the Kenya Kwanza coalition. Even much more how to work very closely with UDA. I will not say this now but be sure that another earthquake is loading,” he proclaimed.
Making the confirmation on the hint, Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale took to his X platform to clarify that, Mudavadi is preparing to finally fold his party.
“Defection to UDA Kenya loading. Musalia Mudavadi preparing his ANC Party members for the announcement (‘earthquake’),” commented Senator Khalwale.
Mudavadi and Wetang’ula joined Ruto’s 2022 campaign bandwagon with a promise to later fully break their respective parties for UDA.
The debate has been ongoing with reports that Wetang’ula was now unwilling and reluctant to fold his Ford Kenya Party citing political betrayal that could come up and leave him in a precarious corner.
