Tuesday, June 4, 2024 –Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi together with Opposition leader Raila Odinga have scheduled a meeting on Wednesday June 5 to address the country.
The two leaders will converge at the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s Railways offices where they will have a closed door session before finally addressing the media.
News about their meeting landed on our news desk on Tuesday June 4 night confirming that, in deed, there will be a media briefing.
“Raila Odinga is scheduled to hold a joint press briefing with the PCS Musalia Mudavadi tomorrow Wednesday 5th June 2024 at the later’s office at Railways Headquarters in Nairobi. The event will be at 9:30am,” the statement read in full.
The agenda of their meeting was not yet shared with the public.
Musalia and Odinga last addressed supporters together in 2022 before the former jumped to William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza campaign machinery in 2022.
Musalia would end up supporting Ruto despite having strong ties with the opposition where he belonged for many years.
Odinga and Mudavadi were also part of the Pentagon team on 2007 where Odinga missed the top seat by a whisker before supporters went on the streets for months in protest of stolen votes.
This development saw Odinga secure himself the prime minister position in the Narc-Kenya government of the late Mwai Kibaki, Mudavadi would end up being appointed Deputy Prime Minister as Ruto ended up as Agriculture Minister before he was moved to Education.
