Thursday, January 1, 2024 -Peter Munya has cautioned President William Ruto over his resolve to open the country as a Visa-free place.
Speaking during PNU Party 15th Anniversary event held in Nairobi, the former Agriculture Minister said opening the borders for everyone is not safe since this will be a way of inviting criminals into the country.
“Running a wash wash economy means waking up one morning and, without thinking, you make pronouncements which some are very dangerous for the country,” he said.
Mr Munya added that Ruto’s street popularity pronouncements will plunge this country into a mess as criminals will use the loopholes to freely access Kenya and cause havoc.
“If you are a thinking president, you need to only give Visa to specific friendly countries which you have common ideologies and agreements with.
“Visa can only be given in reciprocity to a country that has offered you one; not just every one,” he noted.
The PNU Party leader went on to remark that this culture of leadership from Kenya Kwanza looks like a girl who is not principled.
He was speaking this in the presence of delegates from other parties including Martha Karua who supported his claims. Also present was former Ndaragwa Member of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni as well as DAP-Kenya boss Eugene Wamalwa.
Opposition Leader also Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga was present.
