Thursday, March 7, 2024 –Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has made peace with Hon. Junet Mohamed.

Salasya who had, on Tuesday March 5, threatened to fight back Junet over his removal from the Parliamentary position, on Wednesday mended fences with Junet when the two met to shake hands.

“Junet mohamed plus his team have removed me from the committee in the National Assembly and replaced me immediately without notice. I will be giving a press statement tomorrow morning. Junet won’t like it another earthquake. If you rattle a sleeping snake will definitely bite you,” je had earlier tweeted on his official handle.

This is after Salasya was ousted from the Parliamentary position in an announcement made by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.

“Further to the resolution of the house of Tuesday, October 27, 2022, appointing members into the various committees and according to the provisions of standing order 173, this house further approves the appointment of Paul Abuor MP to replace Peter Kalerwa Salasya MP in the departmental committee of Regional Development,” read the announcement of the speaker of the National Assembly.

But on Wednesday March 6, Salasya and Junet met under the guidance of fellow MP Caleb Hamisis and the two struck a deal that will sea Salasya move to a new position.

“Thank you, my brother Caleb Hamisi, for being Kofi Annan and uniting me with Junet Mohamed. It was a smoke but, fortunately, we agreed that I Peter Salasya Ezemo will be in the public accounts committee PAC. Hii bunge ukitaka ku survive kuwa tu wakati mwingine mwendawazimu,” Salasya bragged.
