Tuesday, January 30, 2024 -Ethics agency has nabbed two police officers over sh 4000 bribe in Bungoma County.
In an update Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC, Charles Ogola and Vincent Orwa, who had demanded sh 4,000 from a motorcycle rider as a condition for releasing his motorcycle which they had impounded and detained at Kanduyi Police Patrol Base in Bungoma County, have been arrested.
The suspects, currently held at EACC Bungoma Regional Offices, will spent the night at Bungoma Police Station pending arraignment before the Anti-Corruption Court, tomorrow, Wednesday.
The remaining suspect; PC Onesmus Kipropwho is still at large, is given a 24-hour altimatum to present himself to EACC Bungoma Regional Office or any other EACC office.
EACC, lately, has embarked on acting on corruption reports against State and County officials across the country.
It has also started arresting and charging anyone who forged academic papers to secure State positions in government.
