Activists warn Museveni against rigging

Thursday, January 14, 2021 -Renowned Human Rights Activist David Matsanga has warned President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni from trying to rig Bobi Wine out.

Speaking on the ongoing general elections in Uganda, Matsanga noted that the many youth yearning for fresh blood will not let this go away without an equal reaction.

He advised that Museveni’s only solution would be to let Ugandans vote in a free and fair environment so that everyone can get satisfied with results.

He added that he is closely monitoring the election exercise from Kenya and that he is also talking to the authorities as well as the opposition leader Bobi Wine so that they can do the right thing for the people.

He cautioned that any misstep on the side of Bobi Wine may again hand Kaguta another term what should not be the case.

“Nitakuwa napigia Bobi wine simu ili nimuambie anyamaze tu Museveni afanye mambo yake halafu tutaamka na kumuonyesha. Leo hii huyu Museeveni tunakimbia na yeye,” he said.

President Museveni is facing off with young blood Robert Kyagulanyi in a race that has been described by political analysts as tension-packed.
