Wednesday, April 7, 2021 -Raila Odinga’s younger sister Ruth Odinga is upbeat to dislodge Prof. Anyang Nyong’o from Kisumu governor office.

This follows Ruth’s recent remarks that insinuated how she will not be paving way for anyone from any party or their own Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party.

Ruth who is Raila’s blood sister downplayed calls by his elder brother Raila to allow Nyongo to lead Kisumu residents for the last term due to his good work on the ground.

“Raila can never make such a statement,” she said when asked about Raila’s concerns about Kisumu County.

Well-placed sources from ODM have also intimated further that simmering wrangles in Odinga Family could finally see Ruth – former Deputy Governor- push hard her wishes against his own brother Raila.

Ruth is now accusing Anyang Nyong’o of making unsubstantiated claims about their family as well as deciding county matters on his own without involving stakeholders.

She has asked Kisumu residents to start preparing for her government in 2022 because she has what it takes to lead them.

The Raila’s sister explained how she could even do greater things for them than what the two past regimes have done.

She however reminded them not to vote her into office because of her relation with Raila Odinga but look at her potential in leadership.

On the gubernatorial race list are among others, the former governor Jack Ranguma, Kisumu Senator Fred Outa and former Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura.
