Confusion as Uhuru orders his cabinet to go for 11 days leave

Cabinet Secretaries and their assistants have been send on an 11 day compulsory leave. Details have emerged.

News reaching Homenews.co.ke desk showed that the head of State granted the officials the 11 days off duty with main reason for this remaining a little scattered.

Murmurs from the corridors revealed that the next cabinet meeting scheduled September 3rd could lead to a possibility of reshuffles.

As this development played on, some of the officials including Chief administration secretaries are on a panic mode as threats to replace some of them escalates. This could be implemented so that to put in place a government of national unity and which will comprise members of other parties led by their big brother ODM.

Orange Democratic Movement ODM party, Wiper and Amani National Congress ANC led by Musalia Mudavadi are some of the outfits that may benefit from the looming changes if any.

Also the Chama Cha Mashinani CCM party boss Isaac Ruto may be brought on board as part of the president’s efforts of making sure that Rift Valley region is represented fully following his fallout with his Deputy William Ruto whose cronies have all been shown the door with the few remaining traces on their way out.

“The appointments at the parastatals were to be done last Friday but the consultations took longer. They will be done this week,” a senior state officer told the Star last month.

According to a recent presser held by Statehouse spoke person Kanze Dena, government officials including CAs, PSs and CSs will only be appraised according to their performance saying this will be inevitable; what political analysts claimed was a sure indicator that the future is so shaky for some officials.

“As a measure of accountability, the President announced that completion rate of projects and programmes will be adopted as a key performance indicator for all CSs, CASs and PSs,” Dena said.

During the last impromptu cabinet reshuffles in January 2020, Mr. Kenyatta dropped Mwangi Kiunjuri as Agriculture Cabinet secretary. Ruto’s man Henry Rotich was also shown door from the National Treasury and immediately replaced by Ukur Yattani.
