Monday, October 30, 2023 –A university girl has come out to plead for financial support from Kenyans of goodwill citing abandonment.
Twenty-two-year-old Riziki Kawera Murega who claims to be daughter to Meru County’s Robert Murega Baichu, while sharing her predicaments, revealed that she had been abandoned by her father after he separated with mother, Sabina Karemi, years ago.
“I am not doing quite well after my parents’ separation. I am currently being raised by mum alone and I am the first born now 22 years old,” she stated in a social media clip doing rounds on X platform.
The student, through the brief video clip, added that having been under the care of her struggling mother, it has become very difficult for her(mother) to raise university school fee, alone.
“I am the first born in a family of three doing a course at the Murang’a University of Science and Technology,” Riziki added.
She is doing Bachelor Education Arts a combination of Swahili and Christian Religious Education CRE.
The student shared that she was in dire need of school fee to be able to do examinations now that university fee had also increased, recently.
“Financial constraints and increase of fee has made things not easy and am really in need of fees to complete education and do my exams. I will appreciate anything you send,” added Riziki.
Robert Murega – whom she claims to be the parent – is the husband to embattled Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza.
