Saturday, February 24, 2024 –A former Governor and one of his wives, and a serving Member of Parliament and his two daughters are among the suspects recommended for next prosecution.
In the latest EACC Quarterly Report published in the Kenya Gazette on Friday, the said persons are accused of orchestrating corruption that fleeced the public millions of money.
The two family graft cases are in addition to numerous others under investigation by EACC. Review by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution ODPP indicates that the accused used their spouses, children, siblings, parents and other relatives as conduits to loot public funds.
“This turns the spotlight on the family unit, as the foundation of values in society,” EACC noted.
