Kenya’s former Cabinet Minister Joseph Nthiga Nyagah or simply Joe Nyagah has succumbed to what is believed to be Covid-19. Fresh reports have emerged.
The deceased according to Citizen Digital, died at 72 in Nairobi Hospital while receiving special medication.
Nyagah who also unsuccessfully ran for presidency was part of the Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga grand coalition government in which he served as Cooperative Development and marketing head.
“Joe had an illustrious as well as industrious political and corporate careers during his life time. A founder member of our party and an astute debater in Parliament. Curtains have fallen on a man who lived a good life. A man who enjoyed being called a POLITIC,” ODM Party mourned.
His death has come just hours after Machakos Senator Boniface Mutinda Kabaka was announced dead on Friday morning while at the same facility where he has been in the Intensive Care Unit ICU for two days.
“Sen. Kabaka was a great lawyer. An exceptionally bright student (class mates) and was the only student from EQUATOR HIGH SCHOOL in Thika to have made it to law school…,” Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi mourned through his Twitter.

Confirming the death, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua said his government will be mourning with both the family and Kenyans at large. He is said to have died from stroke.
