Saturday, February 11, 2023 –Ex-President Uhuru Kenyatta has reaffirmed his commitment in their Azimio la Umoja coalition led by Raila Odinga.

Uhuru uttered the words during the final send off of the late Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Omore Magoha in Siaya County on Saturday February 11 afternoon.

Kenyatta noted that Raila is still his party boss and his long-time friend with whom they have navigated national politics together.

Uhuru’s remarks comes just a day after a section of Jubilee Party Members of Parliament MPs disowned, in a coupe’ de tat style, the current leadership in their Jubilee Party and appeared to replace it with another.

Kenyatta mourned Magoha as a professional public servant who was behind the historic eradication of examination cheating in the country.

He added that Magoha decisively restored sanity in the education sector immediately he was appointed to the task.

“I had been impressed by what he did as the vice chancellor of the University of Nairobi,” Uhuru revealed why he hired Magoha.

On his part, Raila hailed the former CS saying ‘his friend’ Kenyatta can attest more to what achievements the late Magoha had brought to his administration.
